Today I attended the funeral of a baby who lived 12 hours outside of his mothers womb. The baby departed this life, and never left the hospital he was born in, YET, his brief life will have long term impact. Even though we had not met him, we loved him. This little life had made a big impact on us all.
Also, the strength of the family spoke volumes. It made me realize that life is precious, and that lifes disapointments do not mean that God is not good, and that life is not good. They simply mean that we must trust more, and love more and more often.
Life is full of lesson we'd rather avoid, but the reality is that we cannot. We must go through the storms, and yet emerge better not bitter, stronger, not weaker, more determined, not defeated. And the sun will definately shine again. Our failures do not and will not define us. We emerge stronger and better, wiser, and healed.
God bless you today and always.

A new start...value your time!
Let’s not spend time on the urgent yet unimportant. Time is the most precious commodity we have. You will never see it listed on NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange or any other trading institution or service. It can’t be bought. Once it’s gone, it is gone.
But we can decide how we will use upcoming time. And we can do everything we can to protect it from being stolen from us by planning our time wisely. Sure emergencies will come up, but even those must be managed.
Learn to say “no” when it’s appropriate. You can’t please everyone all the time. You and your family have a life too.
Learn to look at all God has given you and appreciate the moments now.
Learn to be present when people are speaking to you. That TV show isn’t that important, is it? Our kids really do grow up quickly. There are seasons that we’ll never get back.
Learn to ask “Is this the best use of my time now? Is it contributing to what is important or necessary in my life?” If not, don’t do it, or if possible, delegate it.
God bless you. This is the day that the Lord has made. Enjoy every moment of it!
